Description
This bronze ring features a circular flat bezel engraved with a radiating star or rosette motif. The ring is cast in one piece and finished by hand, with a plain hoop and restrained abstract decoration. The non figurative device and simple construction point to a late Roman to early medieval tradition, where such motifs served as personal marks rather than heraldic symbols. Surface wear and patina are consistent with long use and age.

Historical Context
Radiating star and rosette motifs were widely used in Late Antiquity as abstract personal identifiers with protective or symbolic connotations. Such rings bridged Roman and early medieval traditions, favoring simple geometry over figural imagery. Examples like this were worn by civilians and local officials across provincial regions, functioning as everyday personal seals and ornaments during a period of cultural transition.
