Description

This ancient silver ring features a rounded bezel engraved with the Trisculum, or Triskelion—three coiling arms in perpetual motion. The design symbolizes the Celtic vision of unity and movement through the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. Such rings were worn as protective amulets and spiritual emblems, believed to channel harmony among earth, water, and sky. The form and engraving reflect late La Tène craftsmanship at the crossroads of Celtic and early Roman influence.

Historical Context
The Trisculum, or triple spiral, was one of the most powerful symbols in Celtic spirituality. Representing motion, balance, and cosmic continuity, it embodied both natural cycles and divine order. In the late Iron Age, it served as a protective and regenerative emblem, often incorporated into jewelry and ritual objects. Rings bearing this motif have been found in Gaul, Britain, and the Rhineland—regions where Celtic artistry flourished well into the early Roman period.
